Guided by space. When a space is empty—devoid of furnishings, accessories and art—I ask myself, ‘What is it that remains?’ It becomes clear that overpopulating a space is not critical or even warranted when creating an impactful environment.

It may be that painted architecture is all that’s needed to improve or correct unsatisfactory proportions.
